Peachy Challenge 15 - Just Cards
The Challenge: Create a card using your Peachy Keen Stamps to make your own original background! Your design must be new and be sure to link up by May 2, 11:59 EST. Stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge blog to see all the all the wonderful cards and enter your card. They will be awarding "TOP PEACH" and two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
This challenge was so fun... I made two cards!
For my fist card, I cut a drink shape from the Pack Your Bags Cricut cartridge. I wanted a 50s retro feel and stamped the drink shape with the umbrella from PK-105 Happy Hour on my background paper. A cupcake liner was altered into a paper umbrella. I added flowers on the umbrella by tapping my Copic markers and then rolled a little scrap of white paper for the topper.
For my next card, I used the two cherry stamps from PK-106 With a Cherry on Top!. The cherries seem to be the perfect fit from the sentiment I found on the Cricut cartridge Lyrical Letters. The die cut cherries have faces from PK-480 Christmas Character Face Assortment.

My Kitty Friends
These sweet kitty cats are my friend Teresa's cats, George and Six. I have to admit, if I could own a cat I would love to have an orange tabby cat just like these playful cats. My dog Ranger is not friendly with cats nor are the nasty coyotes that patrol our neighborhood. Eeek!
I created this scrapbook page to enter into the Color Challenge this week at Peachy Keen's Challenge Blog. There is a nice stamp set with sentiments and three peachy faces up for grabs for the winner. I used the new kitty PK-111 Here Kitty Kitty stamps to make my "paper" versions of Kitty George and Kitty Six. The cats are from Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge and I really like the added personality these stamps give to very basic die cuts.

Teachers Rock Challenge
The Weekly Challenge at the Cricut Circle: Create a project of your choice using primary colors. Enhance your Cricut cuts using chalk.
I selected primary colors with a tint for my card. The images are from The Good Old Days Imagine cartridge and I chalked around the tag. The striped paper is from the same cartridge but I cut the green stripe out. The sentiment stamp is from a set that I picked up at Micheals from Stampendous!

Baby Shower Time
There is a new challenge at the Cricut Circle to make a table centerpiece. My niece will be having a new baby soon so I thought I would make this little cradle for her baby shower. I plan on setting the cradle next to the cake AND including this as a party game. The cradle holds a tag style mini book. Each guest can write "mom advice" or well wishes. I think it will be fun-
The cradle is from Baby Shower and all other cuts are from Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge. |
Stamps are faces are from Peachy Keen. Her face is from PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment. Bear face is PK-140 Teddy Bear Face Parts with eyes from PK-480 Christmas Character Face Assortment |

Jungle Party Card
This monkey from Sweethearts Cricut cartrige is swinging in the jungle. He is on a "vine" ribbon and is attached to a palm tree. The cloud background is a stamp from Peacky Keen, PK-107 Cloudy Day. I am so glad to have this stamp in my collection for outdoor (or jungle) scenes.
Mr. Monkey's face is from Peachy Keen Stamps, PKSC-04 This set has seperate eyes and mouths... which makes it easy to customized your die cuts. I just added nostrils with a marker. |
Sentiment is from the same Peachy Keen Stamp set PKSC-04. Monkey's always take time to party!! |

Operation Write Home
I heard about a card collection for the military at the Market Street Stamps Blog. They are hosting a blog hop with "funny cards" and if you are interested here is the link: operation write home. I will be putting together a box to send with cards in my stash that would be suited for the collection.
Here is my "spoketacular" card. I used my new Riding By stamps by Market Street Stamps. I love the graphic clean lines of their stamp collections.

Aunt Donna's Farm
I have been busy playing with the new stamps from Peachy Keen this weekend. I want to share another project so you can take advantage of the sale they have this week end! My family has a farm in Illinois that is very dear to us. This is my paper rendering of Aunt Donna and a photo of her farm. I used the PK-112 Cherub Face Assortment for her face. This set has two very realistic looking faces in assorted sized along with some darling character faces too! I used the Country Life Cricut cartridge to cut "Donna". I think she looks as beautiful as my real Aunt Donna.
The is a paper frame- it is from Fancy Frames Cricut Cartridge. |
Love this face set! |
Filled With Happy
This kitty all tangled up in yarn reminded me of my cat's obsession with my ribbon basket. Oh the simple joys in life! The cat is from the Meow Cricut cartridge and his sweetest face is a stamp from Peachy Keen, PK-111 Here Kitty Kitty. I used white embossing powder and pink flock for the kitty nose. The whiskers are drawn with a white gel pen.
Sentiment Stamp- PK-106 With a Cherry on Top! Purrfect for a playful Cat |

Morris and Friend Card
I wanted to share a quick card made with the new PK-111 Here Kitty Kitty stamps. The cat and bird are from the Meow Cricut Cartridge and cut at four inches. I love the happy kitty face on this cat... I like to believe he is happy that his bird friend has come to visit. Being a cat he might be happy LUNCH is on his head!
The clouds are a background stamp PK-107 Size A2 Cloudy Day. This is the perfect backdrop to your die cut collection.

He only takes the best!
Today's post is to share a memory book I made to celebrate my mother in law's life. She had been ill for a long time that I felt it was a blessing when she was able to pass just before Easter. She had the lord in her heart and often would sing hymns to her family although she could do little else. While I collected pictures of her I notice she always had a smile! Elsie had a happiness about her that I see in her children. You could not have asked for a better grandma. Elsie watched our girls when they were young and I was at work. She never put those babies in a crib preferring to hold them while they slept in her arms. (She also let them eat candy for lunch but a grandma is allowed to spoil... that is the grandma law!.) She will be missed-
Here is the cover and a few pages:

This is a quick mini book as the base is pre made paper bags. I covered them with paper and die cut the ends. Letter Envy Cricut Cartridge was used for the monogram. |
Tags slip into the bag for more pictures and journal space. I kept the embellishments simple and cut them with my Cricut. |

Nifty 50!
My hubby is 50! Makes the math easy for me because I met him when he was turning thirty. I have known my dear husband for 20 years!!! I made this nifty card for him with a beautiful digi stamp that Market Street Stamps generously gave me for signing up with their ning site. I love this funky radio as I my dad enjoyed fixing up old radios.. and I would ask my dad a bazillion questions while he was working on his radios.
"50" is from Letter Envy, "nifty" and retro base is from Nifty Fifties both are Cricut Cartirdges |

Hello Spring
I made this project for a Challenge hosted by the Cricut Circle. The Challenge: Create a scrapbook page, card, home decor item, or other project with a Springtime theme. You must also incorporate ric rac and at least one sticker.
This frame is made of paper! I used the Fancy Frames cricut cartridge and stamped some "wood grain" on the frame. The other cuts are from April Showers cricut cartridge. My stickers are on the cloud to spell out "hello" and my ric rac is from my mom's sewing stash. It makes me smile to use ric rac from my mom because she enjoyed to sew and often put ric rac on my spring dresses.

Peachy Sketch Challenge #12
While I was cooking for my family this Easter, I was looking at this angel I made that has a face from the PKSC-01 January stamp set and thought this face would look great on Snow White. Snow White was cut from the cricut cartridge, Happily Ever After. I followed the peachy sketch... and added some extras too. If you have a chance, play along because there will be TWO prize winners this week!
I used Letter Envy for the base behind my photo and Snow White is actually on layers from the letter 'O" |
I bet the mirror will reply that she is the fairest one of all.... |

Anniversary Mini
My wedding anniversary is in April, and I thought it would be fun to have a little mini just of my husband and me! I still need to dig through my photos and find some of JUST US-
I used the Bo Bunny Timepiece Collection, and sentiment stamps and clocks from PKSC-04 April 2012. This paper has a lot of "white space" that would get lost on a small size mini but I added the background stamp, PK-104 What Time is it?, for extra interest.

I made a "charm" with a Tim Holtz Fragment, and just the top of the grandfather clock... making at mantle clock |
Photos will slide under embellishments Clock Die cut from French Manor Cricut Cartridge |
The pocket watch is from the stamp collection. I love to make custom embellishment to match the paper. |

Hello Rabbit
I just love Alice in Wonderland- I made Rabbit with my Cricut and Disney Classics cartridge. I think he goes perfectly with Peachy Keen's Stamps' set PK 105 Happy Hour. The stop watch stamp fits nicely in White Rabbit's paw!

Peachy Keen April Sneak Peak!
Peachy Keen Stamp's April Stamp of the Month set is sure to please. Darling clocks, a cupcake, face stamps to coordinate, and if you are looking add some sentiments to your collection... look no further. I made this sweet alarm clock card with my April Stamp of the Month.
Here is another card I made with the Peachy Keen's April Stamp of the Month set. The grandfather clock was stamped on wood grain pattern paper and the doors were paper pieced. You can customize the clock face to suit your mood. This sentiment "You put the Tick in my Tock" was included in the collection. Isn't that a creative sentiment stamp? Love it!

Silly Rabbit
It is Throwback Thursday Challenge Time over at My Creative Time. I made this silly rabbit card and used my very first My Creative Time stamp that I purchased, Color Me Happy. I used my Letter Envy Cricut cartridge for the base behind the rabbit. The rabbit is from the Just a Note cartridge and I cut a tag from the Sentimentals cartridge to fit my stamp perfectly.
