My Candy Jar

There is a sweet Challenge at Peachy Keen's Challenge Blog this week.  Create a 3D object of your choice following the theme and containing candy. Use tubes, containers, bags, pretty much anything that holds candy!!! I decorated a candy jar with images from my Imagine Yummy cartridge.  They have so much more personality with Peachy Keen's face stamps, PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.  The background paper is stamped with Grampa's Pajamas.

The big candy is on an Action Wobble.

I wonder how much candy is left in my candy dish?  Answer = 0
(I will blame the kids BUT robin's eggs are my favorite, LOL.)

Hello Jinger and The Scrapbooking Queen

I made this card for a design call at Jinger Adams' blog.  The design team will be creating projects with Jinger's new product line! It sounds like crafty fun to me. 

For this card, I used Letter Envy Cricut cartridge for the background and sentiment.  The bee is from my favorite cartridge Create A Critter.  The card base is a standard A2 size but I cut some of the bottom of the card to frame the card better.  This way, no extra postage is needed to mail your "Hello" to a good friend ;)

I love Golf

Well at least my dad and brother do.  My brother took these pictures when our dad was visiting.  I thought these photos would be perfect to make a scrapbook page for a Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge.
The Challenge: Create a scrapbook page, card, home decor item, or other project where you include a word of your choice. One or more of the letters in your chosen word must be replaced by a Cricut shape. For example, replace the letter “o” in the word LOVE with a heart. With the Cricut Everyday Paperdolls Cartridge, I made all the golf themed items.  I replaced the "o" with a golf ball and ran that through my cuttlebug to give the ball the dimples.

Wall Art Challenge

The Cricut Circle's Monthly Challenge for this month is to create a piece of wall art.  I found this tray at Hobby Lobby and thought it would be fun to make display of my side of the family for our home.  I love vintage photos and selected Cricut cuts that match the photos.. a house from Heritage that looks like my Grandma's big Victorian, gears from Robots for my genius engineer dad, a 3D purse from Forever Young that looks like the purses that my Aunts are sporting.  I cut the word "family" from the Heritage cart too.  I just love to make the perfect embellishments with my Cricut. 

When I got hired at my new job, I treated myself to a subscription of Peachy Pics offered at Peachy Keen Stamps... and I have not been sorry.  I feel like I have my own personal shopper, LOL.  I used the March kit for supplies (card stock, pattern paper, shaped clover, fabric banner, buttons, twine, ribbon) AND I still have a lot left for more projects. 

The little girl is ME :)

My Peachy Castle

I found this blank chipboard album at the Peachy Keen and thought it would be a fun project to decorate. Since the base is cut for you, you can get to the fun of decorating your castle.  I used my Cricut to make most of the embellishments and added my Peachy Keen stamps to give the cuts some extra personality.

Smile Card

Happy Saturday!  I just finished a "cricut less" project for My Creative Time's Challenge.  I find it hard not to use my Cricut.  The main stamp for this card is from Peachy Keen, PK-563 Garden Wheelies and the "smile" is from My Creative Time Cherish This Moment stamp set.

St. Pat's Hat

While visiting Disneyland last weekend, my daughter and I saw these cute Mad Hatter Hats that were rather on the small side and had an elastic chin strap (and a $40 price tag too).  I thought it would be fun to make something similar out of paper (for pennies) for a challenge at the Cricut Circle's Blog.  The challenge is to make something to wear for Saint Patrick's Day. To make this hat, I used the cupcake wrapper from the new Bridal Shower cartridge and cut two circles from George and Basic Shapes.  The hat band has a buckle from Fabulous Finds.   The four leaf clover is from Give a Hoot.

Sweet Birthday Card

For the Cricut Circle's Magazine Challenge, they would like you to follow one of the sketches in the magazine or the blog.  I picked a sketch in the November issue by Shantaie Fowler.  Here is the sketch:

For my card, I used the ice cream cone, scalloped shape, and circle shape from Something to Celebrate. (I do have some new cartridges but keep using my Something to Celebrate.)  The sentiment is from Birthday Bash.  The face is from Peachy Keen, PKSC-03 March 2012 and the sentiment stamp "High Five" is from Peachy Keen, PK-564 Team Work.

Peachy Keen Challenge #7

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge.  Create a card or layout of your choice following the sketch provided at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.  I enjoy following the sketches because the design has been done for you.  For my layout, I used the face stamp and sentiments for January Stamp of the Month collection.  I love how happy my girl die cut looks... 'cause she has PURPLE bows just like my daughter. Be sure to enter your project by March 7.  I would love to see your take on the sketch.
