Kitty Thoughts

YAY! It is Friday! I had a chance to craft last night and wanted to play with the cat file that I picked up at Michelle's Birthday Blog Hop from SVG Cutting Files.  The card shape is the bracket card base but I made an extra shadow to the mat with my cutting software.   I paired this cat up with the accessories from Stamp Annie Thing's, One Cool Cat. Although, I think this cat might only be thinking about the canned cat food, he he.

I will be linking my card to the "Anything Goes" Challenge at SVG Cutting Files.

Barbie's Lamp

Hello! I wanted to share my entry for a lamp challenge at SVG Cuts.  The details are on SVG Cuts Facebook page but basically the challenge is to modify their lamp file in the Maison de Madeline SVG kit.  The inspiration for this project was my best friend Kay's Barbie house. When I was a kid, we played forever with a custom doll house that her dad had commissioned. The doll house had "real" lights! I thought my gal would enjoy playing with a "real lamp"  in her doll house. The set of drawers and the shoe on the lampshade are from the Amelie's Accessories SVG kit.  The lamp is lit with a battery operated tea light.

My daughter loved this lamp!  She was really excited about the "photo shoot" and picked out the doll and outfit for the occasion.
Thanks for stopping by today!

God Bless the USA

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! So grateful to live in a country with brave men and women that serve to protect our country.  It is wonderful to have a day to remember those who have died while serving as we will never forget them! I have a card to share today and I love the patriotic feel.  The heart and sentiment are free stamps this weekend at the Peachy Keen Store.  Get your big blocks out... this is a nice sized stamp :)

Delight

Good evening- I had some time this afternoon to craft and wanted to play along with the Weekly Shape Challenge at the Silhouette Blog.  This week the shape is a boarder set by Jennifer Wambach.  To make the base, I welded rounded rectangles the size of an A2 card.  The mat was made by offsetting the original shape. The paper is Fabulous Girl by Recollections but I have seen the same patterns sold by Simple Stories and called Fabulous. The fact that I observed that implies to me that I stare at paper too much.
 Yummmm, Paper!
"Delight"- Market Street Stamps- Simple Joys

My Mama

Good Morning! I am linking up my scrapbook page to the Imaginisce Blog. They are hosting a sketch challenge, follow the sketch and use your Imaginisce goodies, a chevron design, the color yellow, and the theme for your project is "Mother". The photo is of my mama. I had to call my brother and ask him about the picture, "Why does mom have a boxer?"  (Hey, she is my mom, she would have a dachshund.) He told me that the family was visiting our relatives in Illinois and this was her brother's dog. My mom died when I was in my early 20s,early if you ask me. And I actually thought of her when I bought this paper collection. She owned a purse that reminded me of this one from the Sole Sister's Collection.  I added chevron paper from a newer line, Good Dog.

Papers and Die Cuts- Imaginisce Sole Sister's, Chevron paper Good Dog

Farm Fresh Friday at the Greeting Farm and this week's challenge is paper piecing. I just love the result on Garden Anya with her matching hat and dress. The card base is from the Silhouette Store, Card Watering Can.  Inside the card, a Spellbinders die was used to cut a spot to write a note.

Have a great week!

The photo reminded me of gardening. My little niece will be visiting soon so I thought this little garden kit would be fun for her to play with in my backyard. I found these items at the Target dollar bins.  My daughter has a tomato garden growing so I think the cousins will have some fun!

Doily Decor

Peachy Keen Stamps and SVG Cutting Files Blog hop: HERE

Hello! I am joining the Weekly Shape Challenge at the Silhouette Blog. This week's shape is a Doily Making Set from Samantha Walker. This is a great set with many options and I can see myself using this file a lot. I had this idea in my head to add a doily to a "vintage sort of vase".  My dad had this old glass milk bottle in a cupboard so I took that and cut some roses from his garden while I was visiting him this week. Here is the result on my kitchen table:

I think this would be fun to have in a group of bottles or canning jars. I wonder if dad has more bottles?

Fur Baby

Hello! I have a shaped card so share. I made him for the "Fur Baby" Challenge at SVG Cutting Files. Their store has a few of the popular breeds but for me, dachshund all the way!  She really captured the dachshund look, I call this pose "elephant ears".  My real dog will do this when there is a need for "extra listening" power.  I took the base cut and made a shadow and then welded two shadows to make the card. His little collar tag is made with a circle punch and the sweet heart is from Stamp Annie Thing, Our Lil' Peanut. The eyes are from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-136 Large Bear Facial Features.

The challenge closes on May 14, so there is still a little time to join! Have a great day-

It is your day!

Happy Mother's Day! I have a card to share today that could be for a good friend. This is a slider card that is at the Silhouette online store, Card Kit Flower Pot by Lorie Whitlock. Super easy card to assemble and I love the design. The flowers remind me of my mom as she enjoyed gardening and had blue flowers on her patio. I added buttons for the centers and sentiment stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-206 Female Floating Frog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Chirp Up

Hello! I was SO thrilled to spot that the Silhouette's Blog will be hosting a Weekly Shape Challenge  I think it will be a lot of fun to see the projects created with their selected shape. For this week, make a project with Banners Set of Six by Kate Garfield.  For this card, I made one of the banners large and used a segment of the bird banner.  These birds seem like they have some good advise to share.  I selected "Chirp Up" from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-196 Bird Sentiments.

I can't wait until next Friday to see the shape for next week!

My Barnyard of Cards

Happy Monday! There is a shaped card challenge at the Peachy Keen Connection.  I enjoy making shaped cards so this seemed fun to me.  I wanted to see what the face stamps from the new May PKSC-17 would look like on die cut shapes.  These animals are from the Silhouette Online Store, Animal Set by Rivka Wilkins.  To make the cards, I welded the shapes together to make a base. For the next step, I made a shadow and then welded two shadow shapes near the side to make the card.

The sentiments are from the PKSC-17 set too. Be sure to make your card by May 8 and link at the Peachy Keen Connection.  A random entry will win a twenty five dollar gift certificate at the Peachy Keen Store!

Peachy Keen Stamps May Sneak Peek

Welcome! It is sneak peek time at Peachy Keen Stamps. I made this gift tag with stamps from the new May 2013 set. I stamped the piggy on pink paper and added some chalk and white gel pen for highlights.  Like most of the Peachy Keen Collection, you can select the faces to create a unique look for your project.

And here is another sneak... my "beach baby" card was made with one of the add on sets, PK-209 Life is Good Babies. Isn't she TOO CUTE!

Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Blog this week to see more of these new stamps.
