My Doggie Bag

Good afternoon! There is a purse challenge going on at SVG Cuts. You can read about the details HERE, but basically you make a purse from their FREE file and you "win" a gift card. How generous is that!

I thought it would be fun to design a "doggie" bag, complete with a dog biscuit button. I added some trim made with a circle punch to the edge the flap of the purse.

Barbie's Lamp

Hello! I wanted to share my entry for a lamp challenge at SVG Cuts.  The details are on SVG Cuts Facebook page but basically the challenge is to modify their lamp file in the Maison de Madeline SVG kit.  The inspiration for this project was my best friend Kay's Barbie house. When I was a kid, we played forever with a custom doll house that her dad had commissioned. The doll house had "real" lights! I thought my gal would enjoy playing with a "real lamp"  in her doll house. The set of drawers and the shoe on the lampshade are from the Amelie's Accessories SVG kit.  The lamp is lit with a battery operated tea light.

My daughter loved this lamp!  She was really excited about the "photo shoot" and picked out the doll and outfit for the occasion.

Peachy Keen Stamps' March Sneak Peek

Hello! I am so excited to share with you cards I made with the March Peachy Keen Stamps' Club stamps. This is a darling set with Easter themed items, sentiments, and faces that I for one, will be using all year.  Seriously, my heart skipped a beat when I saw these for the first time.

My first card is on a egg shaped base that I found at the Silhouette Online Store, Scallop Easter Egg Shaped Card.  The sweet little girl dressed in her bunny suit is the star of this card.

For my next card, I stamped some of the sentiments. The "chocolate bunny" card is made with a cut file included in SVG Cuts', Egg Hunt SVG Kit,  A tag was added with the "Sending Easter Joy" sentiment.

Peachy Keen will be hosting a release party on their Ning Site on March 5, at 6 pm CST. Stop by for some fun, challenges, and chat. After the party the new stamps will be available for purchase at the Peachy Keen store. Yay!

Bunny Banner

Hello crafty friends. I just updated my banner frame with a spring theme. The spring kit April Avenue is so cute, I knew it be perfect for my spring projects. Banner tags are premade and covered with patterned paper.  The edges of the tags are trimmed with On the Edge dies from Sizzix.  The rabbit's faces are stamped with  Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-751 Animal Faces.  A black marker was used to add eyelashes to create a girl bunny face.

Dancer rabbit- was cut twice with cream and blue paper.
 A top and ballet slippers were hand cut to make her
ballet  outfit. Pieces from the label in the April Avenue Collection
are used to set the words "eat" and  "love".

The  "happy spring" banner tag was made with the label cut.
Petals from the yellow daffodil flowers in the kit were cut in blue, to make
small trumpet flowers.

I just picked up a digital stamp, My Chickadee, and she is so darn cute had to make a card.  The egg card is from the SVG cuts kit, April Avenue.  The egg was converted into a shape card by making a shadow of the egg and welding the two pieces together. This is really easy to do if you own a Cameo.  I will be entering this card in the shape card challenge at Fun 'n' Fair Stamps.

What perfect timing for these New stamps from Peachy Keen! My dad is doing some "getting well" as he is just recovering from an eye surgery.  My dad purchased my favorite childhood toy, a Stieff Teddy Bear (which is completely void of any fur today). I think my dear dad will get a smile on his face when he receives this card from me.

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum

Happy Weekend!  I stayed up last night playing with  my Cameo and Christmas SVG cut kits.  The drum is from Santa's Visit kit and the base of the drum is surrounded by toys cut from the Christmas morning kit.  The drum from the kit was perfectly sized for a 4 in pot and went together very easily as I have found with the kits I have purchased from the SVG cuts store.  I sized the toys to fit around the base of the drum.  My family is big into decorating for Christmas but my 85 year old dad is slowing down a bit.  (although he put up his Christmas decorations on the outside of his house all by himself....Grrr) I made this project with my dad in mind, thinking it would be a nice centerpiece for his coffee table.

Autumn Mini

I just finished decorating this adorable autumn mini shape album that I purchased at SVG cuts, Acorn Autumn SVG Kit.  I don't own a big collection of their files (yet) so I added a few cuts from my Cricut and my Peachy Keen Stamps to embellish this mini album. 

 

The cover cuts are from the SVG Kit and I added the scarecrow

from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club, PKSC-09

The tree is is from Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge.

The pumpkin in the wagon is from Peachy Keen, PKSC-10.

 



The Owl and Squirrel are from Give a Hoot Cricut cartridge.

The squirrel's face and the sentiment stamps are from PKSC-10.

The animals at the petting zoo were not hungry...

therefor the journal tag "stuffed?"

 

The hamster is from Four Legged Friends Cricut Cartridge.

His face is a stamp in the PKSC-10 collection.

(I wanted to go the the pumpkin farm with the corn maze

and hay rides. I was vetoed by the kids

wanting to play in these hamster balls. 

Nothing says fall like hamster balls, LOL)

 



The pumpkin boarder can be found on the Paper Trimmings by Cricut.

The cutie chipmunks are stamps in the PKSC-10 kit.

 

The papers for my album are from last year's Target Dollar bin and the Basic Grey's Shine On Collection.  





Halloween House Treat Box

Happy Monday! Looking for a last minute Halloween idea? These Halloween Boxes I made for my girls are in a kit from SVG cuts called "Gimme Candy Boxes" and are very easy to cut and assemble. With so much candy in their future I thought it would be fun to put Halloween socks in these favor boxes. The boxes are decorated with the adorable PK-131 Happy Haunting Ghosts and cut an electric die cutter using the matching SVG set, PK-SVG-131.  The Roof was stamped with a background stamp, PK-298 Grampas Pajamas.  The roof was embossed with white and a little distress ink was applied on the roof too.

Witch Card and Hat Treat Holder

Did you make it to the Peachy Keen Stamps' Release Party? I raced home from work (at a snails pace thanks to Los Angeles traffic) just in time to say bye.  I wanted to share my projects I made for the challenges Peachy Keen is hosting at their Ning site, The Peachy Keen Connection. 

The First Challenge is a "3-2-1" challenge,  3 buttons, 2 pattern paper, and 1 ribbon.  I made a Halloween card.  I found this adorable witch at the silhouette store and added Peachy Keen faces to her and her little cat too!  I love the expression on the cat.  It is hard to look spooky when you are so cute!

 For the Second Challenge, make a project with a Peachy Keen Background stamp.  (If you don't own one yet, make your own back ground stamp using the PK stamps you own.)  Taking a cue from the witches hat on my card, I made these lollipop holders.  They have a flower and "Boo!" on the hat band just like my card.  The cut is a FREE cut from Svg Cuts, Witch Hat Lollipop Holder.

Peachy Keen Stamps October Sneak Peek

Good morning! Today I have an acorn tag I made with the October Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month Club stamp set to share. You can join the club and have the stamps delivered to your door (and save some money too) or you can purchase individual sets at the Peachy Keen Store. The fall themed set is perfect for this time of the year. This adorable acorn stamp is "face-less" but the stamp kit has several faces that go perfectly on the acorn.  The acorn box and leaves are from svg cuts, Acorn Autumn SVG Kit.  I think Peachy Keen acorn and sentiment is the perfect touch to this box.
