Me, Me, Me!

My Creative Time is hosting her Throwback Thursday Challenge and one lucky winner that enters the challenge will win her entire stamp release on November 18!  The challenge is to use a "kid friendly" cartridge such as Disney, Nursery Tales, A Child's Year.. and  make any theme project of your choice.  I was looking at My Creative Time's "My Favorite Sayings," stamps set and thought I could use it for my gorgeous Queen of Hearts. She is extra pretty because she is rockin her blue eye shadow. I masked the lower portion of the stamp and replaced with die cuts of the word "me".  Although, I am sure the Queen of Hearts enjoys crafting, caffeine, and chocolate... who wouldn't?

A card for Cookie

Create a card OR layout based on the sketch provided at Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #64.  I enjoy making custom cards for someone special.  My girls have a great Aunt Cookie, a former teacher, who often sends them a BOX of books.  We just got a shipment on Wednesday, so I know she will be looking for a thank you card-

FCCB Challenge Me Monday #85

This week, Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's challenge is all about books! Create a project that has something to do with a book. You can make a book, include a book on your project, create a bookmark, etc. There are lots of possibilities! This is a free advertisement calendar my dad got in the  mail.  I thought I would cover it and use it to keep track of my challenge projects.  The cut is from Forever Young and the Imagine Best Friends Cartridge was used for the pattern papers.   I like how the Imagine will scale the pattern paper down for smaller cuts.  A Hampton Art stamp set was stamped on the background paper.

Fish Tales Shape Album

My daughters and husband love to go fishing.  (I would scream in horror if I caught a fish...but the rest of the family enjoy the sport.)  I picked up the Campin' Critters Cricut Cartridge when it first came out AND just found the blog of the illustrator, Curt Jensen who designed the cartridge.  Curt Jensen is hosting a challenge in honor of Campin' Critters.  This is the link to the blog:  October's Cartridge Challenge.  Here is my project that I made with Campin' Critters, I can't wait to put the family's latest fishing trip inside.

Autumn Days Mini Album

This week's challenge at the Cricut Circle is to create a mini album... I enjoy making mini albums with my Cricut so I was happy to make an entry.  This shape album was made with Pop-Up Neighborhood. I used paper hinges to join the book together. I have to laugh because last year we took the kids to a local pumpkin patch and I my fall pumpkin photos had a fast food restaurant in the background.  This year I was thrilled to take them to a farm!  Only to hear that they missed the bouncy houses at the local pumpkin patch.  Well, mom likes the farm...

Sweet Bee

I am Bee-hind on my challenges that I like to participate in... Here is my entry for Peachy Keen's Lets Face It Friday's Creepy Cute Challenge.  I just got a photo of my niece in her Halloween costume this year.  She is such a Cute Bee! My paper bees are cuts from Pooh and Friends Cricut Cartridge with faces from PK-754 Critter Faces. 

2012 Desk Calendar

This started with a sketch which I thought would make a nice calendar.  The sketch appeared in the Cricut Circle's exclusive magazine that offered a challenge to use the sketch with your Cricut.  The base started as a piece of 12 by 12 piece of chipboard.  I cut this to 6 by 12 and folded this in half cutting some box lids from Sweet Tooth Boxes at 11.25 inches that fit on the ends.  Two binder rings are used to hold the calendar pages and I weighted the inside of the base with sand sealed in a plastic bag.  Each month has tag with its name on it that can be pulled out to keep track of important dates.

These months follow the sketch, February more closely.  Seasonal Cuts are from Simply Charmed, the USA hat is from Independence day
