2012 Desk Calendar

This started with a sketch which I thought would make a nice calendar.  The sketch appeared in the Cricut Circle's exclusive magazine that offered a challenge to use the sketch with your Cricut.  The base started as a piece of 12 by 12 piece of chipboard.  I cut this to 6 by 12 and folded this in half cutting some box lids from Sweet Tooth Boxes at 11.25 inches that fit on the ends.  Two binder rings are used to hold the calendar pages and I weighted the inside of the base with sand sealed in a plastic bag.  Each month has tag with its name on it that can be pulled out to keep track of important dates.
These months follow the sketch, February more closely.  Seasonal Cuts are from Simply Charmed, the USA hat is from Independence day

Patriotic Flower Pot

OK, I am going a little red, white, and blue crazy.  This flower pot was decorated with my cricut for the 4th of July.  The clay pot was covered with a cupcake wrap cut from the Easter 2010 cartridge.  I added the Independence Day, "I heart USA" and the circle base.  Super easy project and you could modify for any party or give as a hostess gift.  My next project is pink and all girly, I promise!

Patriotic Banner

Feeling proud to be an American, making a patriotic project puts a person in that state of mind.  I was thinking about all the brave men and women who protect our country.  God Bless You All!  My Dad is an Atomic Veteran and his brothers served in World War II.
We will be hosting a 4th of July BBQ this year, so I think this will jazz up the place.

I used my trusty Cricut to make this banner:
banner base, Tie the Know, Independence Day
font- Don Juan
Eagle- Independence Day
Statue of Liberty- Independence Day
USA map- Stand and Salute
