Altered Box

My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge this week is to use an older Cricut cartridge and alter an item with your ciruct cuts.  Alter an item? Sounds fun to me! I went strolling through my kid's piles of ignored items littering the playroom.  I found this wooden box was was looking a little un-loved.  I took the heart off and stained the wood with tea dye distress ink.  My car cut is from Billionaire. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Cherish This Moment stamp set... perfect for my "fancy" car.

The before- Poor lonely box!

Snappin' Good Time

This weeks Cricut Circle Challenge: Using a bouquet of birthday balloons as your inspiration, create a project of your choice using string in a creative way on your project.

Here is my entry- I cut this cute alligator with my Imagine and layered the image.  His balloon is from Birthday Bash and I flood filled the balloon with a patten along with the cream polka dot for the background paper.  His teeth are perfect for holding on to balloon string...

Here is my take on the challenge.  I used the suggested colors and even cut a peacock feather for my cupcake's hat.  The cut is from the Cricut cartridge French Manor.  The cupcake, hat, and face is from Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month April 2012.  I used the PK-106 With a Cherry on Top for the frosting edge on the cupcake, the sweetest little nose,  and the sentiment.

I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge-

It is Peachy Time!

It REALLY is Peachy Time!  Even since I had my hot little hands on the Peachy Keen April Stamp of the month set, I have wanted to make a "real working clock".  I found this simple clock... at the dollar store.  The colors were picked to go with my daughter's room, aka "The Purple Palace".  I think is is so cute! I am running back to the store to get another clock to make one for my scrap space.  I made it just in time, pun intended, to link at the Peachy Keen "anything goes" challenge.

BBQ Memory Frame

I have been in a "frame mood lately".  Every year my cousin will host a get together with our family.  I thought it would be fun to capture a couple of pictures from last years BBQ for my a gift for my cousin.  They have a tropical landscape so I went with that theme to decorate the frame.

I used my Cricut Life is a Beach cartridge for the pineapple drink, leaves, and the tiki totems.  The flowers were from my stash and are from Jolee's and Marth Stewart Crafts. The torches, eyes on the totems, lanterns, center flower are from the Peachy Keen May Stamp of the month.

These guys reminde me of the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland.

My Family's Mustang

Our family has fond memories with our Mustang.  It was purchased by my Dad for my Mom as she wanted a new car to go with her new baby (me,lol).  My brother wanted the Mustang Fastback but Mom had her eyes set on the the Mustang Coupe.  My brother and I both drove this car when we were in high school and I drove this car until I was able to purchase a new car after graduating college. (The Mustang was tired at this point and I honestly thought the car was going to kill me because the engine was so powerful but the breaks... that was another story. ) My brother restored the car and now shows it! His daughter has her eye on this car now.  Here is my scrapbook page to enter in a Challenge at Cricut Circle that requests us to document a family memento with a scrapbook page.

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #17

Happy Mother's Day! I have been at the crafting today and made this card for a sketch challenge at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. I would love to see what you make for this sketch challenge.

My card is made with PK-116 We go together stamps and my Cricut Imagine Kate's Kitchen cartridge.  I punched circles to cover the original faces and added these darling Peachy Keen faces from the same PK-116 set.  (BUT how fun would it be to put a "sneezy" face on the pepper shaker...).  Just a fun way to mix up some of your supplies to make something new.

Graduation Card

I made this for a fun challenge at the Cricut Circle.  Use and older Cricut cartridge and a new one.  The shape card is made for you with the Wild Card cartridge.  I added the year with my newer cartridge Letter Envy.  The paper tassel was replaced with a ribbon to give it a little more movement.

Happy Spring

This Spring scrapbook page was made for a "scraps only" with cuttle bug folders challenge for the Cricut Circle.  I always have a bag of scrap paper that I pick through to make my Cricut cuts so this was right up my alley.  I even used the scraps of the scraps to make a funky boarder for my photo.  The bunny is from Simply Charmed and the rest of the cuts are from Seasonal Cakes.

Sweet Gnome

This card has been "in my mind" for a  long time.  I purchased the Gnomes and Mushrooms Cricut Craft Room Digital Cartridge a long time ago... and thought how cute the gnome would look with a Peachy Keen Stamps' Face.  Cricut Circle has a challenge to make a project using at least 3 cuts from Cricut Craft Room exclusives and this is my entry.  The Base and the heart is from Craft Room Basics.  He is a sweet gnome if I do say so myself.

Cricut Circle Art Inspiration Challenge

For National Scrapbook Day the Cricut Circle Blog has some great Challenges.  This challenge they wanted you to make a project inspired by a piece of art.  I was drawn the the rose and the shabby chic design.  I cut the bag with my Cricut Imagine from the Imagine More Cards.  I cut a tag from Jubilee (because I feel sorry for that cartridge... it is cute... I should use it more.) And added a tag on top from layers on a tag from the Imagine More Cards.  The rose was cut from Flower Shoppe with tan cardstock and inked the edges of the rose so match the design on the paper.

Think Big!

I made this SUPER sized burger with my brother in mind.  My burger is from one of the NEW stamps available this weekend at Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-114 Hot Diggity Dog. I masked off the top and bottom bun so I could add extra meat patties.  Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Connection for some challenges to enter and you might win some of their new stamps.

Cricut Circle Challenge

Make a card or tag with the "stuff on your desk or trash can".  Well... I kinda think of this as modern art, LOL.

Cricut Circle Scavenger Hunt

For National Scrapbooking Day the Cricut Circle is hosting some fun challenges.  For this challenge you needed to cut requested shapes to win a new cricut cartridge.  Here is my entry:

Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month!

I have a post today with my first project made with Peachy Keen Stamps May Stamp of the Month.  The Stamp of the Month and co-ordination add on sets will be available for purchase on Saturday.   I stamped this kabob and made a skewer out of wire.  My BBQ "rack" is a cupcake liner from a Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge.  AND if you ask that pearl onion on the grill... He was pushed! (I would cry too, LOL)
